Join MobilityWorks at the 2018 San Mateo Abilities Expo

For almost 40 years, the Abilities Expo has been dedicated to connecting the Northern California region with the latest innovative adaptive technologies. The expo will feature groundbreaking accessible equipment, informative workshops, demonstrations and more.

MobilityWorks is proud to be participating in the 2018 San Mateo Abilities Expo from October 26th – 28th. Certified Mobility Consultants from Burlingame, Fresno, Sacramento, Chico, Oakland, and Santa Clara will be in Booth #329 to answer any questions about accessible vehicles and adaptive equipment.

A few of the Events that will be at the 2018 San Mateo Expo:

Adaptive Climbing Wall (Daily)- An area perfect for people of all abilities. Mark Wellman, a former park ranger and Paralympian, will be demonstrating his adaptive climbing techniques.

Accessible and Affordable Home Ownership (Saturday from 11:45-12:45)- Stephen Beard, a real estate agent in the Bay area, will be hosting this workshop to help you navigate the problems with owning your own home.

Adaptive Archery Demonstration (Saturday from 1:00-1:30) – The organization See No Limits Competitive Archery will be providing attendees with equipment and skills needed to successfully learn archery.

Accessible Travel Workshop (Saturday from 3:45-4:45)- Join WheelchairTraveling.com and Ashley Lyn Olsen to hear from experienced travelers and learn their suggestions and tips. Help others too, by becoming an advocate and sharing your experiences.

The Expo will be held at the Expo Hall in San Mateo County Event Center, at 1346 Saratoga Dr, San Mateo, CA 94403. It will run Friday and Saturday from 11am-5pm and Sunday from 11am-4pm. Admission is free and more information can be found on their website.
