What Our Clients are Saying

Mobility Works in sacramento presents itself as a company that cares about accessibility and independence, but what i witnessed tells a very different story. Customers are often mislead into believing thier wheelchair-accessible vans are properly serviced, when in reality shortcuts are taken that put safety at risk. Repairs are rushed, steps are skipped, and the focus is on saving time rather than protecting the people who depend on these vehicles. Even worse, i observed staff- including management- making disrespectful comments about disabled customers behind thier backs. The way people were treated varied depending upon whether they were considered "nice" or not. This kind of conduct is completely unacceptable from any business, especially one that serves the disabled community. For anyone considering MobilityWorks, please be aware: This company's priorities are NOT customer safety or respect. Disabled customers deserve honesty, dignity, and care- None of which are consistently provided here.
Response from the owner:Hi. We are very saddened to read your review as this is most definitely not our standard for servicing vehicles and respecting customers. We are curious as to the specific customer and vehicle so that we can research further. Can you please contact us at 1-877-275-4907 to provide more information. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Thank you.
Worst service department ever. We purchased their service plan with the van. Took van in for latest service. Was told it needed a new battery and that brakes were worn halfway and would need to be done at next service. Also told to keep an eye on wear on tires because they may need to be replaced soon. The van only has 10,000 miles on it so I was skeptical. Took it to the toyota dealer for an inspection. Battery was perfect, brakes like near new, wheels needed alignment but tires were great. I feel like mobility works tried to take advantage of me, which is appalling considering their sole purpose is to provide vehicle and service to people with Disabilities.
Response from the owner:Hi Tamara. We are genuinely concerned about your review. We appreciate you letting us know. Can you please contact us at 877-275-4907 so that we may learn more and see if there may be solutions that we can offer at this time. Thank you in advance for the opportunity.
Unfortunately they have unethical business practices. This shop advertises a 15% markup on parts. That is untrue, the truth is it’s about a 67% to 70% markup on parts. An 1100$ gas tank is 1700$, a 300$ fuel pump is 475$, a 75$ window regulator is 125$.

I came in telling them I needed to replace a fuel tank. They charged me an hour of labor to diagnose that I need a new fuel tank. It’s unfortunate that a business that is supposed to be built around hospitality for helping the elderly is taking advantage of them.

The window regulator broke while the car was in their shop and they did not abide by California statutes that protect the consumer. I will be filing A complaint with the California Bureau of Automative Repair and pressing remediation through a small claims court.

A business is only as good as its leadership’s values. This is not a good business.
Response from the owner:Hi Sam, we are sorry to hear about your negative experience at our store. We take all reviews seriously and we apologize for any inconvenience. We strive to provide fair and transparent pricing for all of our customers. We would like to address your concerns in more detail given the opportunity. Especially the costs and mark-ups that you mentioned so they match ours. We do charge a diagnosis fee typical of most repair shops so that our mechanics can spend the time and use equipment needed to confirm the issue. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we hope to have the opportunity to revisit your concerns.
